Mosaic workshop

The goal of the workshop is to guide students in the construction of their own mosaic work. We use the hammer and anvil, the same tools that the ancient Greeks used and still use today to construct mosaics. 

After drawing the design on paper and transferring it to a wooden substrate with stone and tile glue, the students will create something new, inspired by themselves or a copy of one of their favorite designs. 

Students are introduced to mosaic art, step by step, going through all the stages of construction and completing their learning by placing their work in a frame. .
