We climb the seven highest peaks of Agrafa
Come and discover the 7 mountains of Agrafa with an altitude of over 2,000m. We will tour the North, East and West Agrafa where we will have the opportunity to see from all angles the mountain complex of the Agrafa mountain range with its countless peaks, steep slopes, gorges and rivers flowing between them like arteries.

Each mountain has its energy, its history, its herbs, its beauty. We will walk it slowly, experiencing it with all our senses and we will be filled with unique images. Two-day Sylvotherapy, botany and recreational activities workshop
-+ In the heart of mainland Greece, on the slopes and heights of the Thessalian Agrafa, among forests and rivers, are built the villages of Argithea. The area is covered by centuries-old firs, beeches, chestnuts, cedars, oaks and holly trees. Towering peaks, ravines and rivers define the Argithea region, where old customs survive and historical memories are kept fresh. The natural beauties, the remarkable monuments and the genuine Greek hospitality of the inhabitants offer unforgettable images and impress travelers. During our hike in this place rich in biodiversity and sensory stimuli, we will explore our relationship with nature around us and within us based on methods of Sylvotherapy (an evolution of Forestbathing), an approach that utilizes the therapeutic power of our stay in the forest. As a result, we will experience spiritual, physical and mental well-being through our conscious stay and essential connection with the elements of nature. At the same time, through outdoor activities, we will awaken our senses.
Our fundamental vision is the reunification of modern man with his natural environment, the redefinition of his place within it and the awareness of his role in relation to nature. At the same time, we will identify and observe in their natural habitat important plants and herbs that make up the local flora, we will learn about their benefits, their collection as well as various ways of use for the purpose of our psychosomatic well-being.

Crossing Leontito Gorge & kayaking at Lake Stefaniada
«"Argithea Sanctuary"»
The crossing of the Leontitos Gorge is done by hiking on the Alexandra trail. We discover the beauty of Eastern Argithea, in the villages, in the stone-built houses, in the green meadows of Fountotos, in the centuries-old plane tree in Leontitos Square, in the forested mountain slopes, in the streams and in the green-blue waters of Lake Stefaniada.
One of the proud Argithea residents was Alexandra Miariti, after whom this hiking trail takes its name. We also walk this path with the aim of discovering the ruined house where Alexandra was born and lived for about half of her life. A short distance away is the ruined sheepfold. Alexandra lived here with her parents. In the wilderness, far from the village, without comforts, at the mercy of God. When her parents grew old, they left the wilderness and went down to the village with Alexandra. They left behind the sheepfold and their sheep. And Alexandra walked the path almost every day for about forty years, “swamped” with fruit for the animals. She was so familiar with the natural environment that many times on her daily route she was followed by wild boars or deer, apparently hungry for the fruit she was carrying. Alexandra, without fear of wild animals, walked the difficult path to do her duty to her sheep. She returned to the village again “swamped” with a load of wood for the fireplace.
The next day we have the option of absolute relaxation, where soul and body will harmonize with the serenity of Lake Stefaniada. It is the youngest natural lake, created in 1963 by a landslide and maintains a unique natural beauty throughout the year.

Stefaniada Lake Festival 2024
We are pleased to invite you to the 1st Stefaniada Lake Ecotourism Festival, which takes place this year for the first time in Agrafa, Thessaly, August 3-11, 2024.
Greece's youngest natural lake, just 61 years old, right in the center of the country, is becoming a destination for those who love outdoor activities, seek alternative methods of relaxation and connection with themselves, want to learn more about cinema and photography, like to work with their hands by painting, doing wood carving or making mosaics and are fascinated by observing the night sky, enjoying an outdoor screening or concert under the stars.
The Festival invites residents of our villages and travelers of all ages to participate in a diverse program with activities and workshops created with a focus on the value of the nature, history and culture of the region.
Outdoor activities: kayaking, hiking, archery, experiential horseback riding
Laboratories: herbal therapy, painting, mosaic, engraving, landscape photography, documentary, yoga, sound therapy, making fake pie
Cultural activities: star tours, shadow theater, open-air cinema, concerts

The inaccessible parts of the soul of the Agrafa

Magic awaits you there.
If there is one thing that characterizes the Agrafa Mountains to this day, it is their unique and peculiar relief that makes them a kingdom of isolation and at the same time a symbol of freedom. Their long history, where the Byzantines did not manage to map them, nor did the Ottomans ever conquer them. The people who lived there were always self-sufficient and autonomous. At the price of a very hard life, however, they remained free.
The goal of these excursions is to come into complete contact with nature, to understand it and to experience it with our five senses. We will dedicate time to listen to it, embrace it and draw energy from it. Through the process of man's return to nature, man's return to himself, to his center, also comes. We will stop what we are doing, remember how to breathe properly, relax wherever we are and how to find the strength and balance within ourselves. At the same time, through the long crossings we will make, we will remember how people moved on foot without cars and other means as a way of survival. This gave people time to think, have discipline, better physical condition and resistance to physical and mental difficulties. In a world that is constantly rushing to catch up on its work, that is constantly speeding up, that is constantly running out of the most precious commodity, "time," we will slow down and understand how important it is to utilize it.
If you know the mountain, you will love it, and if you love it, then you will protect it. The movement #Save_Agrafa and by extension #Save_Greek_Mountains was launched with the aim of protecting all of Greece from the most remote mountain to the most remote rocky islet. Great importance will be given to information and awareness. The least Finix Adventures can do is to donate 5% of the net profits from these excursions to the Save Agrafa movement.
On these excursions we will see it all: panoramic views from the 4 highest peaks of Agrafa, the most treacherous gorges in the heart of Pindos, dense forests of deciduous trees, the densest holm oak and oak forests, crannoe firs reaching 40 meters, alpine meadows tucked into the mountains, a cave with an underground river inside, three lakes, a seasonal dragon lake, unknown waterfalls, an Agrafiotiko that always rains, hundreds of herbs and fruits in the most inaccessible and untouched part of Greece. We will enjoy all these places in the most beautiful way, through alternative outdoor recreational activities, with hiking, kayaking, archery, mountaineering, stargazing, crossing rivers and gorges.

August 26-27 Two-day herbal therapy and recreational activities workshop in Petrilo
It all starts with a return to nature and to oneself. Who doesn’t want a life of health and happiness? Nature has a healing effect on the soul and body. Come to our outdoor workshop in Agrafa, Thessaly, in the kingdom of isolation to harmonize, decompress and get to know the herbs that contribute to improving health and quality of life. We will take care of our mind, soul and body, through exercise in nature and contact with therapeutic plants. In some cultures, plants are called “those who take care of us”. Kayaking in Lake Stefaniada We will learn the history of the youngest natural lake in Greece, we will paddle on its deserted beach that only comes to the surface in the summer months, we will have a picnic and take cool dips in its crystal clear turquoise waters. On the botanical walk through the enchanting plane tree forest and to the foothills of the Stefanotis River, where we will talk about the therapeutic uses of the herbs that we will encounter, from antiquity to the present day, the ways in which we can utilize them in our daily lives as well as about collecting with respect for the environment.
The most ancient sport in the world, what the ancients considered an art… Archery is essentially a philosophy. During the activity, attention, focus on the target, determination and decision-making are practiced. To achieve your goals in life, you need to appreciate and calculate the prevailing conditions, act in the right way and have self-control. These are also needed in archery. You learn to properly aim your arrow and follow a ritual that will lead you to the right result. Herbal medicine workshop. From the plants that we will encounter on the herbal walk, we will collect some to make fresh herbal preparations and create our home pharmacy. Monday 8/8
-9:00- 11:30: 1.5 km lakeside hike – Ages 5 and up
4.5 km lakeside hike to the waterfall – Ages 10 and up, for those in good physical condition
-11:00-18:00: Alpine Kayaking – Ages 3-99 years old
-21:30-22:30: Star tour – Ages 3-99 years old
Tuesday 9/8
– 9:00-10:00: Talk about the fantastic world of horses and open discussion.
-10:00-15:00: Horseback Riding – Ages 2-18 years old
-15:00-18:00: Archery – Ages 3-99 years old
-18:30: Afternoon concert with Alexandros Ktistakis as part of the Lakes Festival
