August 3-4 Two-day Stargazing Day
The ultimate goal of stargazing and astrophotography is to bring you closer to the stars. Those who come will take with them frames and stories worth sharing with our loved ones. In the evening we meet at Lake Stefaniada. We will set up our equipment and get lost in the magical world of the night. We will enjoy the nebulae of the Milky Way, observe the constellations, see Saturn and Jupiter with their satellites. We will make mountain tea to drink as we sit under the stars and share stories from our life in the village and our climbs in the mountains with the aim of making you love them too. Later we will take photos with the galaxy.

August 5 Karagiozis Shadow Theater "The Return to the Mountain""
Ο Karagiozis is a central fictional character of the traditional Greek and Turkish shadow theater, which in many cases is called by the name of its protagonist. The themes of the Shadow Theater's works are usually satirical, causing laughter in the audience, while often referring to real and contemporary issues of interest to the world or even historically.
The theme this time will be related to the protection of mountains and nature.
Young and old will have the opportunity to watch a Karagiozis performance by shadow theater artist Konstantinos Katsoyiannos. Figures and sets are his own creations with beautiful designs and lots of colors, as are the dialogues and funny lines.
At the end of the performance we will learn some things about the construction of the figure, the stage and the props, as well as some historical facts about shadow theater.

Cooking in nature – Mushroom Lovers of Greece
A special “natural” cuisine will be set up on the shores of the lake. Greek cuisine, of clarity and clarity of the senses, as revealed by traditional recipes of the countryside. The kingdom of plants represents the quintessence of their aroma and taste. It is a culinary “utopia” when you flavor your food with oregano, thyme and parsley that grow next to the fire you lit to cook.
The free Mushroom Lovers seminar will introduce the varieties of mushrooms that grow in the Stefaniada Lake area and recipes are some of the things that visitors will enjoy. We will get in touch with mushroom knowledge, mushroom love, mushroom tastings and mushroom creations. Anyone interested can follow the events on the “Mushroom Lovers of Greece” page and of course become a member.
Free dishes will be offered, such as mushroom soup, as well as various mushroom-based dishes by the well-known chef Fotis Paraskevaidis.
This is a unique culinary experience that, by preserving the flavor of the ingredients and their coexistence in their natural environment, will help you make outdoor recreation truly complete, will give you strength and will bring you joy. “We are waiting for you to live a unique mushroom tasting experience!”

2. From Olympus to Everest
In the fall of 2003, a Greek group of climbers is in Tibet climbing the 8201m Cho Oyu peak. This mountain is located in the neighborhood of Everest, and the expedition is preparing there for the ascent to the highest peak in the world, which is scheduled for the following year. The team's efforts are paying off, but on the last day the unexpected happens. During the descent, the team leader Christos Barouhas takes his last breath in the hands of the team's cinematographer Pavlos Tsiandou.
Upon their return to Greece, the climbers are ready to abandon the venture, until they discover an old letter from Christos, which gives them new motivation. The group reunites, finding the necessary strength to continue. In the spring of 2004, two Greek teams begin the ascent of Everest from the North and South sides respectively. However, when the climbers are faced with the harsh reality of death on the mountain for the second time, faith in the vision and team spirit remain as the last reserve that they are called upon to mobilize to achieve the goal.

Talk about the art of the earth
Land Art, or earth art, is an art movement that emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s, primarily in America. Land Art focuses on creating works of art that use the natural environment as the primary material and medium for their creation. Land Art artists create works directly in nature, using materials such as rocks, soil, sand, water, and plants.
Unlike traditional art forms placed in galleries or museums, land art works are not simply placed in the landscape, but the landscape is the medium of their creation. The artist and the natural environment work harmoniously together to create a work of art that is intertwined with its space. These works are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also temporary, as they are exposed to the forces of nature and natural decay. Thus, land art invites us to explore and connect with the natural environment in new ways, while reminding us of the transience and beauty of nature, while emphasizing the need to protect and respect the environment.
